If you tell someone you’re training cats, you usually get one or two responses (after the joke about your sanity).
I didn’t think you could do that.
Why would you want to?
Once upon a time I taught a Manx cat named Molly how to sit and shake. It took me a few days less than a spring break. I didn’t know much about training, having only helped house train my dog as a kid. But I had a few tips from an article and managed to teach her a trick that that she did for years. If I can, anyone can.
But why? If you have a cat, you may have wondered:
Is my cat bored? (Probably.)
Is my cat smart? (Maybe.)
Does my cat like me? (Most likely, if you’re kind.)
If you have a cat and your only thought is, “Why should I bother? It’s just a cat,” then move along. Nothing to see here.
But if you’d like a better relationship with your cat and some fun along the way, then welcome. We’re on a cat school journey and you can come along if you’d like.
